Hajime:

Oh, good morning, Tomoya-kun~

Tomoya:

Hajime? I’m usually the one who gets here later since I commute by train, so it’s weird to see you arrive after me. Did you oversleep?

Hajime:

Oh no. I was just putting in some morning practice for the Tea Club.

Tomoya:

Huh? You have morning practice?

Hajime:

I do. Well, it’s more of something I decided to do on my own, for practice’s sake. The sooner I can brew tea that’s just as delicious as the Student Council President’s, the better!

Tomoya:

You’re really putting your heart into this. Although if you ask me, the tea you make is already plenty delicious.

Hajime:

Ehehe. Once I get even better, you’ll be able to taste the difference for sure~♪

Wait, don’t you have morning practice, Tomoya-kun?

Tomoya:

Mmm, not for now. Though whenever we’ve got a big performance coming up, then that’s when we’ll squeeze some in.

I’d be perfectly happy to spend the entire day with Hokuto-senpai from the moment I get to school, but having to face that Masked Pervert first thing in the morning sounds...absolutely exhausting.

Mitsuru:

Tomo-chan, found ya! Goood morning! ☆

Tomoya:

Whoa! Don’t body slam into me all of a sudden like that—either of us could get hurt!

Hajime:

Good morning, Mitsuru-kun. I see you’re as full of energy as ever~♪

Mitsuru:

Ahaha! If I wasn’t full of energy, then I wouldn’t be me!

Tomo-chan, I wanted to give this back to ya!

Tomoya:

Huh? Oh, the manga I lent you yesterday? What did you think? Any good?

Mitsuru:

Yeah, I got so hooked that I read it all in one go! Thanks for lendin’ it to me, Tomo-chan~

Look at the main character’s face on this page hereI laughed my head off! And here! Look, look, this scene! This fire-breathin’ dragon is so, so cool! ☆

Tomoya:

I meant, what did you think of the story?

Looks like you’re more interested in the pictures, huh. I guess that’s one way to enjoy manga!

Oh well, I’m just glad you enjoyed it!

Mitsuru:

It ended on a cliffhanger with the main character caught in trouble, so I wanna know what happens next.

Tomo-chan, Tomo-chan, I wanna read the next part already!

Tomoya:

What? There’s nothing I can do about that. It’s still an on-going series and this is the latest volume.

You’d probably have to search through some back issues of the magazine it was originally published in if you want to read the rest.

Mitsuru:

Ugh, that sounds like way too much effort! I wanna read it all together in one book!

Tomo-chan, I want the next volume to go on sale right now! Pleeease!

Tomoya:

I literally have no power over this.

Hajime:

Hehe. It must be a really exciting manga for both of you to be reacting like this.

Mitsuru:

Huh? You haven’t read it yet, Hajime-chan?

Tomoya:

Oh right, I haven’t lent this series to you yet. Wanna try?

Hajime:

Oh, are you sure?

Tomoya:

Duh, of course! What are we best friends for? Here you go! ♪

Or, wait. If you start reading halfway through the series, you’ll just get confused. I’ll bring the first volume along with a couple of others with me tomorrow.

Tomoya:

Here ya go! Have this katsu curry bread as a thanks!

See ya, Tomo-chan, Hajime-chan! Later~☆

Tomoya:

O-Oh, thanks…

He even bought me bread. Even though I’m always saying that all I need in return is to hear his thoughts.

Hajime:

It’s a very Mitsuru-kun way of saying thank you, don’t you think? Hehe~ ♪

(I’ve got a short test tomorrow, so I should go over my notes for that class once I get home.)

(And uh… Right, I promised I’d lend Hajime some manga, so I’ll put that in my bag while I’m thinking about it.)

(It’s been a while since I lent him anything, so I’ll bring a few more titles along with me~♪)

(...Speaking of which, I wonder what kind of manga Hajime likes?)

(It feels like I’m always just pushing my favorites onto him, like: “This one was really good, so you should read it too!”. But now that I think about it, I never really asked him what he actually likes.)

(He always tells me he liked whatever I lend him no matter what.)

(What would Hajime’s tastes be? Maybe slice of life? He seems to like action and sports stuff too.)

(When it comes to food-based manga, he’ll happily exclaim something like, “Just looking at all this delicious food is enough to fill me right up!”)

(He seems to enjoy stories of characters with superpowers battling it out and fantasy series set in alternate universes too.)

(This is so hard. I feel like that guy would be happy with anything.)

(Oh, I reached the book store. Might as well stop by and have a look through the different genres to find something Hajime would like.)

Oh wow! The latest volume of the manga I lent Mitsuru is released today! I had no idea.

I’ll read it tonight and lend it to Mitsuru tomorrow! I bet he’ll be thrilled.

Every single volume is packed full of action, but I personally really liked this chapter here!

It’s a scene where the humans and dragon unite as one in a fight against the antagonists. Even though they can’t communicate with words, they can understand what’s in each others’ hearts...I was on the edge of my seat!
